The new MiSans font features 60,340 new characters and complies with the latest GB 18030–2022 national character set standard.
Since 1 August 2023, GB 18030–2022 enforces three Implementation Levels. Implementation Level 1 contains 27,584 Chinese characters in total. Implementation Level 2 contains 27,780 characters including Implementation Level 1 characters, and encoded Chinese characters from the Table of General Standard Chinese Characters that are not included in Implementation Level 1. Implementation Level 3 contains 87,887 Chinese characters, including Level 2 characters, characters from the latest character set standard and the Kangxi radicals specified in Table 3. Products for government and public services should meet Implementation Level 3 requirements.
MiSans includes Implementation Level 1 and Level 2 characters. MiSans L3 is an Implementation Level 3 character library (it does not include Implementation Level 1 and Level 2 characters).
